Scent is one of the most direct routes into the limbic system — the brain's emotional centre. This guide maps Terra Bloom's essential oils and incense to all seven chakras, from Root to Crown, with practical guidance on how to use them for meditation, breathwork, and everyday wellbeing.
How to use your oils
Diffuser — Best for meditation
A waterless nebuliser keeps the oil purest — neat oil atomised on air alone, no water to thin it and no heat to dull it. Best with lighter oils (florals, citrus, herbs); resinous ones like Frankincense and Patchouli are richer inhaled or applied. Run it in short bursts, 10–15 minutes before and through your session.
Direct inhalation — Instant centring
Place 2–3 drops on your palms, rub gently together, cup over your nose and breathe deeply for 3–5 breaths.
Topical application — Always diluted
Dilute in a carrier oil at 2–3% (approx. 3 drops per teaspoon of jojoba, coconut, or sweet almond oil). Apply to the relevant chakra point.
Bath ritual — Full-body immersion
Add 8–12 drops mixed with a tablespoon of carrier oil or full-fat milk to a warm bath. The aromatic compounds are absorbed through the skin and inhaled simultaneously.

You want earthy, heavy, anchoring scents that connect you to the physical body.
Scent and sound are two of the most direct pathways into stillness. When combined intentionally, they create a powerful anchor for meditation. Solfeggio frequencies are ancient tonal sequences believed to carry specific healing vibrations — each one resonating with a chakra energy centre.

To begin: diffuse your chosen oil, play the corresponding Solfeggio tone, close your eyes, and breathe slowly for ten minutes. Let the scent settle into your nervous system before any formal practice begins.
As above, so below.
