Essential Oil Guide

Clove Leaf

Solar Plexus · Manipura · 528 Hz

Light the fire. Stand in your strength.

The most warming oil in our range — pure eugenol fire steam-distilled from the leaves of Syzygium aromaticum, the clove tree of Madagascar's spice belt. A close cousin to the better-known clove bud oil, leaf-source gives a higher eugenol concentration and a sharper, more medicinal edge. Solar Plexus chakra at 528 Hz — the seat of will, courage, and personal heat. Use sparingly: one drop in a blend brings the spice; two would overwhelm.

Aromatherapy tradition

  • Warmth in the belly — the fire of digestion in Ayurvedic and Unani traditions
  • Courage and standing — the spice of those who hold their ground
  • Sacred kitchens and resin smokes across South Asia
  • A traditional clarifying scent in spaces of decision
  • Strict dilution territory — the hot oils are the ones to respect most

Ritual use

  • Diffusion — 1–2 drops only. 528 Hz. Spice the room, don't fill it.
  • Massage — 1 drop within a 10-drop blend in 20 mL carrier (never neat, never solo)
  • Bath — not recommended for full-body bath; use 1 drop in foot soaks only

Pairs well with

  • Sweet Orange — citrus and clove · the festive Solar Plexus blend
  • Lemon — bright fire · the wake-up tonic (Clove sparingly)
  • Patchouli — Root and Solar Plexus · grounded warmth
  • Geranium — Solar to Heart · softens the heat
  • Thyme ct. linalool — both Solar Plexus oils · the courage blend

Safety

  • Max dilution (leave-on): 0.5% — VERY STRICT (rinse-off applications preferred for skin use)
  • NEVER use neat on skin
  • Not for children under 6
  • Avoid if: pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Clove Leaf is sharper than Clove Bud — even more dermocaustic; respect dilution rules carefully
  • Naturally occurring allergens (must declare): Eugenol (high — IFRA-restricted), Isoeugenol, Eugenyl acetate, Linalool
  • External use only · Always dilute · Patch test 24 hours before broader use
